Were they still in California? Did they go to Houston to the Rothko chapel? Who knows. The note said nothing. It just included the picture.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" title=\"rothko-photo-real.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/augerhandle.net\/blogs\/jumpingfish\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/rothko-photo-real.jpg\" alt=\"Rothko photo real\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I love Rothko. I\u2019d hang one in the living room if I could and would be happy for the rest of my days.<\/p>\n<p>I know not everyone feels that way. I suspect they think, somewhere in the back of their heads, \u201cHeck, I could do that,\u201d which of course they couldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>I grabbed my pen and took to my tablet. \u201cHeck, I will do that,\u201d I said to myself in the back of my head, knowing that I wouldn\u2019t come close but curious to see what doggerel I\u2019d produce.<\/p>\n<p>I scribbled. I scrabbled.
