The Procession<\/h3>\n<p>After perhaps an hour, accompanied by <em>Pomp and Circumstance<\/em>, the graduates filed out of a tunnel on the north end of the stadium, walking (not particularly solemnly) behind the chancellor and a banner of <a href=\"https:\/\/brand.berkeley.edu\/colors\/\">Berkeley Blue and California Gold<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Berkeley-2017\/Graduation\/i-3fRP5nK\/0\/66f00273\/X3\/DSC_0617-X3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Berkeley-2017\/Graduation\/i-3fRP5nK\/0\/66f00273\/L\/DSC_0617-L.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were many of them. The procession went on for a very long time. Sharing the Pano<\/h3>\n<p>Having some time on my hands, I looked to see if I could <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT204144\">AirDrop<\/a> the pano to Trudy&#8217;s phone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: monospace;\">Trudy&rsquo;s iPhone<\/span> phone didn&rsquo;t show up in the list, but there was someone else who did. I had no idea who she was, but I sent the photo to <span style=\"font-family: monospace;\">Cathy&rsquo;s iPhone<\/span>. <em>It was promptly declined.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I stood up and looked around.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Cathy&#8230;,&rdquo; I said. &ldquo;How could you?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A woman sitting nearby had been paying attention to this, and she chuckled at my disappointment. I turned to look at her.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;You want a copy?&rdquo; I held out my phone to show her the shot (which of course she could have taken herself if she really did). She played along.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Sure!&rdquo; she said. So she enabled AirDrop, and I sent the pano to her.<em> It was promptly accepted.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><em><\/em>3. An Afterthought<\/h3>\n<p>You know, I&rsquo;m not sure I ever <em>did<\/em> send that pano to Trudy.<\/p>\n<p>Sorry, Trudy.
