I can tell he really wants to give me a new drop of his code. But he can&#8217;t. He&#8217;s leaving in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>I tell him that&#8217;s fine and that we&#8217;ll talk next week. And then I ask about his trip.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Well, it&#8217;s a little complicated,&#8221; he says. &#8220;You see, I bought some land&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I want to ask how many acres. \u00c2\u00a0If he camps there. I wonder about the trees and if there&#8217;s a pond and what it&#8217;s like in the spring.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8230;I bought some land,&#8221; he said, &#8220;and then someone went and <em>blew up an oil well<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dan lives in northern Alabama. His land is on the coast.
